About Quinby Vintage

Quinby Vintage, est. August 2019, is a celebration of the art self-expression where clothing is the medium. It doesn’t matter where you’re going, who you’re with, or what your plans are — we believe that every day is an occasion as long as you’re willing to make it one.

If you’re not afraid of bold patterns, bright colors, statement-making clothing, and being over-the-top no matter who is (or isn’t!) watching, then you’ll feel right at home at Quinby Vintage. And even if you prefer to dress on the quieter side, you’ll still have a hell of a lot of fun here. Though be warned: we might just convert you to our outlandish ways! That’s because we believe the phrase “I can’t pull that off” should be kicked to the curb where it belongs.

Your personal style, age, gender, profession, and the opinions of others should never stop you from wearing what you want to — and inspiring others to do the same.

Remember: excess and glamour are art forms that everyone is capable of embracing.

We invite you to stay for a while, look around, and of course, to follow us on Instagram at @quinbyvintage. You can also subscribe to our newsletter (limited to once a month, plus information about upcoming sales) if you’d like to connect with us on a deeper level. Instagram in particular is where we list some of our most in-demand pieces, host flash sales, and allow our followers early access to some of our collection.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. There’s nothing we love more than hearing from fellow vintage fashion fanatics.

Love,

Katherine, QV Founder

A Word On Pricing and Affordability

We know that sometimes you’re in the money, and sometimes you’re a bit less well-funded than you’d like to be. That’s why Quinby Vintage always attempts to stock clothing for your every financial season and for a variety of budgets. We've got everything from big-name, high-end designer finds to no-label frocks that still have that undeniable vintage appeal.

A Word On Taking Care and Giving Back

Quinby Vintage dedicates a portion of sale proceeds from certain pieces to select activist collectives, nonprofits providing appropriate financial transparency, and other causes that we're proud to stand behind. Those pieces will be specifically marked as such and will contain information about the causes these proceeds will benefit. If you are interested in having your collective featured, please feel free to reach out to us via the Contact page on our website. We respect the importance of protecting your privacy.

When shipping, we aim to minimize our environmental impact. We are currently exploring shipping materials that are safer for our planet without increasing costs for us and our customers. We genuinely welcome any feedback and advice regarding sustainable (preferably biodegradable!) packaging as we navigate our options.

A Word on Size and Gender Inclusivity

Size and gender inclusivity is extremely important to us.

We strongly believe the pieces we sell should be worn with fearlessness and pride by those of any gender. We view all our vintage clothing and accessories as unisex/androgynous options, but do label them as men/women's clothing in descriptions so shoppers have an understanding of the sort of fit they can expect (and because the search algorithms like it.)

Quinby Vintage also strives to offer as wide of a range of sizes as we can find. Larger bodies have always existed, and we are well aware of their erasure in both vintage and contemporary fashion communities. Unfortunately, because larger sizes in vintage clothing continue to be in high demand, amassing a quality collection of so-called "Volup Vintage" pieces can take more time than we would like it to. Please know that we see you, we share your frustrations, and we are actively working to find pieces that cater to a diversity of sizes and bodies.
